How to Create Becky G's Latin Billboard Music Awards Show Look
At this year’s Latin Billboard Music Awards, Becky G knocked it out of the park with her high energy performance and red carpet look. Becky G always slays when it comes to her overall style, including her long tresses. Celebrity hair stylist Cynthia Alvarez shares with us how to create Becky G’s wet curl look and textured ponytail looks so you can rock them yourself at home.

Wet Curl Look
Step One
Alvarez prepped Becky G’s hair by wetting it with equal amounts of water and Dove Care Between Washes Rehydrating Mist.
Step Two
Once her hair was fully saturated, Alvarez scrunched a good amount of Dove Style + Care Curls Defining Mousse, massaging it into small sections from roots to ends. She prefers faking the wet look this way, as the mousse does a great job of keeping waves super defined with maximum flexibility and great hold.
Pro Tip: Don’t use creams or oils to create a wet look because you will have to reapply often. And stay away from gel, as it will leave your hair too crunchy with minimal movement.
Step Three
Next, Alvarez dried Becky G’s hair using a diffuser in order to lock in the right texture. By doing this, her hair dried with a bit of volume, while maintaining the product in tact and still keeping that “wet” look.
Step Four
To finish the look, Alvarez spritzed a high gloss spray liberally through her hair followed by Dove Style + Care Compressed Micro Mist Flexible Hold Hairspray, achieving that effortless and sexy curls look.

Step One
Alvarez applied a small amount of Dove Care Between Washes Foam Dry Shampoo to her roots to help loosen up the mousse from the wet curls look. Then she styled her hair into a mid-ponytail.
Step Two
Next, she wanted to do a dramatic baby hair look and used Dove Style + Care Curls Defining Mousse to mold the small pieces into place.
Step Three
Once Alvarez was happy with the shape and style, she locked Becky G’s hair in place with an edge control gel.
