Gabriela Garcia, Founder & Editor-in-Chief

A graduate of the University of Southern California with a B.A. in Comparative Literature, Gabriela worked for literary agencies in the film and television industry in developing literary talent for studio films and network television. She went on to become a talent agent with Pakula/King & Associates in Beverly Hills, working with casting directors and studio executives from Warner Bros., Sony, Universal, Paramount and Fox in the development and marketing of talent and in contracts and negotiations. Gabriela was previously the Director of Marketing for Najera Consulting Group, a strategic consulting firm based of Chicago, and served on the Board of Directors for Teatro Vista, Theater With a View

Judith Ruiz-Branch, Contributing Writer

A Chicago native, Judith is a passionate and driven media connoisseur, journalist and philanthropist. She graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Latino Studies. Judith has extensive media experience. She’s worked as the cohost of The ReWind Sports 60, a producer for CLTV’s the Garrard McClendon Live Show, a news writer for WGN-TV, a reporter intern at WBEZ Radio and a producer/reporter at Rivet Radio. 

Judith also co-founded a non-for-profit, the Angel Gabriel Foundation, in memory of her Uncle who passed away from cancer in 2011. The foundation’s mission is to support the bodies, minds and spirits of those affected by cancer through essential nutritional education for the fight against cancer and beyond. Judith’s goal is to open her own production company in her uncle’s honor as well.

Brissa Hanzel, Creative Contributor

Brissa is a creative entrepreneur with a variety of talents that afford her the opportunity to work with amazing people. She has an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoys helping small businesses and female entrepreneurs launch and thrive.

Her company, Breeze Art Creatives is a creative design collective boutique, offering clients a connection with their customers through powerful visual images and elevate marketing goals by creatively engaging with customers to deliver messages through print, web, photography, social media, e-newsletters and special events with reliability and trustworthiness. Breeze Art Creatives currently works with talented freelancers who specialize in everything from writing to web development.

 

Evelyn Derderian, Contributing Writer
